I thoroughly enjoyed making this card. When I first thought about doing a haloween card I thought oh n0!, but once I got started and knew what I wanted it just fell into place. Another very C&S card but I think it looks really good, especially IRL. I was going to use Crystal Effects on the chipboard letters but when you colour them, they dry with this wonderful suede effect and feel to them, I just love it. I can’t stop touching them.
Colour Combo: Basic Black and Pumpkin Pie

2. Papers – None
3. Stamps – Swirling Stars Stampin’ Wheel
4. Embellishments – On Board Loads of Letters

Another day, another week! This weeks CC Challenge is distressing. Another quick card but this is a great way to get rid of bits, and if they’re a bit crumply so what, distress the edges and then they’re meant to look crumply. I love this Simply Scrappin’ Kit. I’m going to be using it for my “Journal Your Christmas” this year. Everything is from the kit with the exception of the snow flakes, they are stamped onto Very Vanilla CS which is the Base of the card. The edges were done using the fab Cutter kit distressing tool. If you don’t have one you could use a ruler to tear the paper instead of cutting it or you could use a File to rough up the edges.
Colour Combo: Very Vanilla, Real Red, Old Olive and Chocolate Chip
Check out the Design Teams cards for some other great idea’s on Distressing, and don’t forget to enter the challenge while your there.
Supplies Used: (All Stampin Up! Unless Otherwise Stated)
1. Card, Paper, Embellishments – Christmas Jingle Simply Scrappin’ Kit
2. Stamps – Snow Flurries
5. Tools – Cutter Kit
6. Mediums – Stampin’ Pad

I’m posting this from my hotel room and guess what I’m using. An Apple Mac! The Hotel has one in all their rooms instead of a TV and they have free Internet access. How Cool is that? The only problem is that I had already wanted an apple but was quite happy to wait, but now that I’ve actually had a play on one I WANT it! NOW! Sadly I will have to wait, anyhow onto today’s card. I really had fun with making this card, I think this Stamp Set is going to be very popular. This is just one of six in the set. Come back on Friday to see another of the stamps from this set.

I used Chipboard (Again!) but this time I stamped and embossed it, not too bad for the first time. Pop on over to CCC and check out the rest of the Design Teams creations.

For someone who doesn’t use chipboard I’m doing pretty well here. It’s all very basic but I’m actually enjoying it now, whereas before I just didn’t have a clue. Has anyone guessed that Kraft is my flavour of the month? Lets see what September brings! I’m really into colour matching and seem to find it works so well with Stampin’ Up! products, but sometimes Black works wonders too!

The Blog Hop Winners have been chosen, for a complete list go check out the CCC Blog. The winner of my Blog Candy is…. Lisa V (Lisa’s Paperfun) Congratulations Lisa.
This weeks challenge is a shaped card. This card was a complete accident. About a week ago I had this idea for using my background stamp, so I had a go straight onto my Card and wasn’t impressed with how it turned out. I just put the card one side and forget about it. When it came to creating this weeks cahllenge I was rooting through my scraps looking for something to use as a Template and found my experiment. I was only intending to cut the heart shape and use that as a template, but ten minutes later I ended up with this. And I love it! The lines and dots are just drawn in using a Stampin’ Marker.

Isn’t Kraft and Sahara Sand just fab? I had a great time making these little 4×4 cards, like I said in a previous post, I’m warming to this smaller card size. They’re ideal for Thank you cards or Just because cards.
Colour Combo: Kraft, Whsiper White, Pretty In Pink, and Certainly Celery
I’m planning on doing another two in Bashful Blue and So Saffron. The Sentiment is very light so from a istance it looks like just the scallop square is on the card, until you look closer.

… Colour Combo. I seem to have used the same colour combo on the last 3 cards, not intentional, but I do LOVE these colours together. I finally used the Soft Summer stamp set that I got way back with the Mini Pre-order in March. I coloured the solid stamp with the crayons and then spritzed it with water just before stamping. You get this lovely chalky, watercoloured effect.

I’m not a chipboard kind of person, and I think this is my second, possibly third card I’ve made using it. This card uses the same layout as yesterday’s card. Originally I had the idea to stamp the word Hi onto the card using the SU! Big Deal Alphabet, but it just didn’t look right. And then I remembered how great the Chipboard letter looked that Debbi did for the Post-It Notes holder we made at the Cheshire Swap, so out with the Chipboard and I must say I am really pleased with the result!

I’m just loving this colour combo at the moment and the Stamp set is fab too. I’ve cased the layout and colour combo from the US Stampin’ Up! Catalogue, but hey that’s what they’re there for! This is one of those cards that you make and think Wow, I love it! It looks much better IRL, the photo doesn’t do it any justice.
You’ll notice that all my latest cards (and some still to be posted) with scallops have been done with the Corner Rounder and not the actual Scallop Edge Punch, there is two reasons for this. 1. I do like the larger scallop on some cards and 2. I left my Scallop Edge punch at Janes last week when I went to the Cheshire Swap. I thought it would be ok, not having it but I seem to have gone scallop mad or maybe I’m just noticing scallops more as it’s taking me longer to do them.
Colour Combo: Chocolate Chip, Certain Celery, Regal Rose, and Whisper White

I’m a bit later than usual with this one. I knew what I wanted to do just didn’t have the time till now. I must have taken about 30 photos of this card today but just can’t get it to look right, I have a splitting headache which might be contributing to the fact that the colours are out. I’m not happy with the photo but to save my sanity I have posted it anyway. I’ll revisit the photography tomorrow.
